Helen Hambly has been presenting her PhD work ' A social and relational view of language impairment ' and exchanging ideas about Parent-Child interaction (PCI) therapy for preschool children with researchers at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute in Melbourne.

Wednesday 29 October marks World Stroke Day and this year's theme highlights the impact of stroke on women.

International Stammering Awareness Day

International Stammering Awareness Day (ISAD) happens on 22nd October every year. Stammering associations, individuals and groups around the world organise events to mark the day and to raise awareness of stuttering.

Mind The Gap - BSLTRU at the Royal College Conference

Every other year the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists hold a two day conference. This year we had a significant presence presenting short communications and workshops. 

International Research Visitors

Two PhD graduates

On Monday 21st July the Bristol Speech and Language Therapy Research Unit was very proud to see two of our affiliated researchers; Dr Rena Lyons & Dr Helen Hambly graduated from the University of the West of England.
